Science actually comes from the Latin word, scientia which mean knowledge. Development of science now days become the most debated topics in society and it’s not an isolated anymore. In order to pursue the global development, science had become the most important asset in each individual life. Development of science have been debated whether it affect our life styles or not. Usually, public attitude toward science differ according to their environment, religion and belief. Whether we like or not, a great change had been experience because of science. Believe it or not the change brought by the development of science giving us a lot of advantages. Unfortunately, some people choose to stop the changes and go back to the past. They see the past as the purer and simpler age without notice that it was more terrible. Science helps to increase country‘s productivity, develop national economy, save life. Unfortunately development of science also may trigger war.
In a developing country like Malaysia, good economy condition is important. Each industry in the country is playing their role in order to maintain the good economy state. Either we noticed it or not, science also playing their role in order to help the developing of national economy. Development of science in our daily life brought a lot of advantages not only to the country also to the entire citizen in the country. Through the development of science the productivity of a country can be increases. Compared to the past, now days a lot of factory had been establish. This situation will help the citizen in giving them career opportunity. As a result the unemployment rate among the citizen will be decrease. That’s why some people who felt these change in their life really grateful to the development of science.
Besides help in develop the national economy of a country, science also help society in their work. Through the development of science a lot of daily problem faced by our society had been solving. Daily work also become easily because of invention of new technology. A lot of machine, gadget and other equipment had been created to solve the problem faced by our society. Development of science also helps in order to increase the productivity of a company or factory. The uses of machine and technology really help the worker in doing their jobs. Not only help us in increasing the productivity, thought the development science also help us in saving our time. Development of science also helps us to save energy. We do not need to use a lot of energy just to do such an easy work. As example we can used computer to write the paper work or advertisement, we can used the washer machine to wash our cloth. That’s why, compared to the past, we should be grateful to the development of science.
Either we notice or not development of science helps us in saving life. The development of science had leads to the development of medical technology. Comparing to the past, now days giving birth to the baby didn’t brought highly risk to the mother. Besides, through the development of science a lot of medicine had been discover and helps in cure various disease that surge us. This is one of the reasons why government planned to make science as a core subject in our country’s education. Learning science, may increasing our knowledge, it also applicable in our daily life. Therefore we will become an excellent and intelligent citizen in the future.
Everything has its own advantages and disadvantages. Aside from accepting all the advantages, we should also accept that development of science also have its own disadvantages. Development of science helps an irresponsible people in achieving their mission to trigger war. Construction of nuclear weapon leads to a lot of problem in our society. Nuclear weapon is a weapon that gets power from acts of nuclear reaction. Not only trigger war, it also causes loss of life, destruction of property and other negative effect towards the environment. World War II is an example of obliteration brought by the construction of nuclear weapon. At that moment, Hiroshima and Nagasaki had undergone a lot of damage, and a lot of lives are loss.
As a conclusion, advantages and disadvantages of science depends on our self. We decided whether science’s development may help us in our daily life by giving a lot of advantages or only bringing disaster. Howe ever we can’t stop the development of science but will can manage it and overcome all the disadvantages. The past had gone, and now the new era of science is attacking by giving us a lot of advantages and disadvantages. We will decide the way science impact our life.
